There are two realities in this world, the one that exists outside of us and is based on objective understanding, and the internal reality that we fabricate in our heads.
While it’s true that we all see the outline of the world, we all feel the ground beneath us, the warmth of summer on our faces, the wraps of winter on our breath, and the pull of sleep on our eyelids. The sky is blue, trees are tall, and the corner of the bed frame always hurts the same. We experience these things of the world without question. They feel concrete, but it’s our personal reality that gives them meaning and solidifies their influence. We color our experiences, our reality, and create the internal world we live in. We’re influenced by the external, but we decide what we take from it.
The happenings of the world have no color, no good or bad, until we decide for ourselves. So decide for yourself what you want to see of the world and what you want to see of yourself, and work towards it. If you don’t like the reality you’re living in, do what’s in your power to change it.
